I used 5mm foam board construction to provide a study shell. The outside walls are covered in block sized pieces of copier paper, painted with a Dulux tester pot. The windows and the upstairs door are scratch-built from plastic strip. The roller door is a piece of corrugated plastic card, the front door is layered card.

The internal brick wall is Scalescenes painted brick sheet, the workbench is plastic strip and card.

The fire-escape is a Langley product, the yard walls are Wills sheets, with individual bricks added as capping. The gates are three layers of card, a central core with individual planks on each side. The over-gate sign is Slater's letters.

The front part of the yard floor is Wills, with two arcs carved in and then filled with curves of plastic sheet for the gate rollers. The rear part is internal wall filler, smoothed over the cobbles to represent a dirt floor.

The yard junk is odd scraps of kits, the gas store is more corrugated plastic card on plastic struts.
